Celebrating San Fernando Teaching Hospital Level 16, Ward 12, Suite 5 Doctors, Nurses & Support Staff on duty from Feb 23, 2015-Mar 19, 2015

For some the title may be very long but as always the title of my post needs to capture the essence of it!

Far too often we hear of the negatives about people and experiences and forget the positives.As Antony said in his famous soliloquy, Act 3 Scene 2, Lines 1619-1620 of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar,

“The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones;”

This may seem a harsh reality but should not be so though far too often it is.I have always been a firm believer in recognizing the good people do, saying “Thank you!” and treating people the way you want to be treated and as such remain committed to continuing on this path.

On this note join me in Celebrating San Fernando Teaching Hospital Level 16, Ward 12, Suite 5 Doctors, Nurses & Support Staff on duty from Feb 23, 2015-Mar 19,2015 who attended to my grandfather, the late Mr Ramlal Dookie.

To Dr Asha Bissessar, Dr Amit Ramesar, Dr Saroop, all the Nurses, Interns and other support staff, we thank you wholeheartedly and most sincerely for your patience, the care,  the time, the understanding and the concern you showed to our loved one in the 3 weeks, 2 days, 4 hours and 10 minutes he spent in your care. It tells of our commitment and dedication.

We thank you immensely for the time you spent talking with us. One of our particularly fond memories we will remember in our interaction with you was the Nurse who in his last days at the hospital said, “Darling, darling your family is here to see you…Come on darling get up, your family is here to see you!”

In spite of our great loss, we are comforted by the high level of care you provided to him. We pray that God may continue to bless each of you richly so that you will continue to discharge your duties to others in their time of need and their time of distress.

From his wife, Mrs Jassodra Dookie, his children, his in-laws and his grandchildren, thank you all once again very much!
