For example many Trinidadians shop locally in places like JTA, Tru Valu, Rodney’s Supermarket, Mario’s Pizzeria, Excellent Stores, Bright Ideas, Persad D’ Food King, Bakery Treatz, Valini’s Drug Mart, Mileage Mack and Low Cost Supermarket.
More so many of them go to TTPost, Bhagan Drugs, Better Deal Supermarket, View Port Supermarket, Super Quality Supermarket, Scotia Bank, Photo World, Save a Buck Food Store, Ishmael M. Khan Booksellers and Ali’s Pharmacy. There are a couple other places also and a few places in Tobago also accept Magna cards.
However many of them are also unaware that they can use a Magna Card at these places. Some may see a Magna card as ‘petty’ with ‘a lil bit a points’ and ‘you spending so much but yuh barely getting anything.’

They are entitled to an opinion but the truth remains that at the end of the day they still get back something.
How do you get a magna card? There are 2 options.

2. Sign up via email
How do you get Magna points?
When you spend $20 and over you get 1 point for every $10 over that amount. Let’s be real we hardly ever spend $20 alone.
What can you do with Magna points?
You can use your Magna points to pay for your purchases.
Bear in mind 650 points equate to $65.
Similarly 508 points equate to $50.80
Contrary to what some Magna vendors say the minimum is $20 not $25 and I have personally confirmed this with Magna repeatedly. Also the point value is on the full purchase price rather than just the pre-VAT price. I have personally confirmed this and refused to buy from Magna vendors who decide to give me points on the pre-VAT price.
Based on all of this should you sign up for a card? Yes, you should!
Will the points be helpful? Yes, they will. Added to that your points do not expire.
Can they be earned relatively quickly? Yes. groceries are bought sometimes weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Hundreds of dollars are spent on groceries.
